It is beyond Cynical for the White House to attempt to use the current crisis in the middle east to sell their energy policy. Remember, this is the energy policy developed with the help of Enron and most of the corporate energy world. Vice President Cheney is actually being sued by his own government to release documents associated with the creation of this energy policy.
Now, as the violence escalates in the West Bank, Bush thinks it is a good time to use this uncertainty to sell his energy policy (created by the energy industry) to the American people.
